I tried not to be selfish.
I tried to reconcile with my soul,
But the One and Only saved me from myself,
And now, more than ever, I'm finding
More and more reasons
To hold on.
The past will haunt you 'till you die,
But only if you let it.
It is easy to remember pain
And to forget just what was good.
Lying in bed, wearing the ceiling down with stare.
Candle lit.
You'll find yourself in a world of rain
With no way to return.

I could live without that word,
Because that's all that's survived
In this world.

But I will uphold the old tradition
Of remembering that which was good,
Because until the rest of this
Confused population focuses on more than the pain,

the solo flight

With a cloudless sky and such peaceful bliss?
Sometimes I could fly solo
Straight back to tomorrow's yesterday
Don't get what I mean?
Well, I'll leave it just for me to know then,
Because I only need two wings
For a solo flight back to tomorrow's yesturday.
What a beautiful day
To fly solo.
